AIRI Coalitions

AIRI routinely joins with other groups to support important positions and issues affecting the biomedical research community.

  • Ad Hoc Group for Medical Research (AAMC) is a leading coalition focused on supporting increased funding for the National Institutes of Health. AIRI sits on the Steering Committee assisting with the legislative agenda for the group.

  • Coalition for the Advancement of Medical Research (CAMR) is comprised of patient organizations, universities and scientific societies advocating for the advancement of breakthrough research. AIRI partners with CAMR to advocate for the advancement of stem cell research.

  • Research!America is a non-profit advocacy alliance striving to make medical and health research a higher national priority.

  • Council on Governmental Relations (COGR) is an association of research universities that monitors financial and administrative issues and policies associated with federally funded research.

  • Coalition for National Science Funding (CNSF) is an alliance of scientific organizations that supports the goal of increasing the national investment in the National Science Foundation's research and education programs.

  • Federal Demonstration Partnership (FDP) provides a forum for an open dialogue between the research community and the federal agencies on the research business relationship between the two.
