
What is this meeting?
Senior leadership from AIRI Institutes are
invited to participate in a special meeting of IT professionals and
their management colleagues to: assess and measure the explosive
growth in scientific data; discuss and evaluate case studies of
recently architected systems by peer AIRI Institutes; explore the
most promising technologies; forecast the current and ongoing cost
of alternative systems; and evaluate cost-recovery models that could
be used to finance acquisition and operation of large-scale systems.
When and where is this meeting?
All day Thursday, February 18 and the morning of
Friday February 19, 2010. Participants from outside San Diego
should plan to arrive by Wednesday evening, February 17th . The
meeting will be held at one of our member institutions - The Salk
Institute for Biological Studies in La Jolla, California.
Who should attend?
Senior level IT people from AIRI institutes.
Financial or operational leadership personnel are highly encouraged
to attend.
